Getting Started with A2P Branding
Brand registration is the first step to sending SMS from your business. Get it right the first time so you can start messaging without delays.
Step-by-Step
Registering Your Brand for A2P 10DLC
Follow each step carefully. The most common reason for rejection is a mismatch between your business name and EIN records.
Understand What A2P Brand Registration Is
A2P (Application-to-Person) brand registration tells carriers who you are. It's required for sending SMS/MMS from your business number. Without it, your messages may get filtered or blocked.
Gather Your Business Information
You'll need: legal business name, EIN (Tax ID), business address, website URL, and a contact person. Make sure these match your official records exactly.
Enter Your Legal Business Name
Use the exact name on your EIN letter or state registration. Don't use abbreviations or DBA names — carriers verify against government databases.
Add Your EIN / Tax ID
Enter your 9-digit federal EIN. This is the single most important field — if it doesn't match your business name, your registration will be rejected.
Provide Your Business Address
Use the address registered with the IRS for your EIN. PO Boxes are typically not accepted. The address must match your official filings.
Add Your Website URL
Enter your live business website. Carriers check that your site is active, matches your business name, and has basic info like contact details and privacy policy.
Select Your Business Type & Industry
Choose the entity type (LLC, Corporation, Sole Prop) and industry that best matches your business. Be accurate — mismatches trigger manual review.
Submit & Wait for Verification
After submission, verification typically takes 1–5 business days. If rejected, review the reason, correct the mismatch, and resubmit.

- Selecting "Sole Proprietor" when you're an LLC (or vice versa)
